As I age and as I learn, I'm learning more and more about the value of reflection. (How are we to understand anything else if we cannot understand ourselves?) And it is through this reflection that I can see how certain people or events have affected my world view. It seems as though I've been following this path, leading me to newer and greater things, and hopefully to whatever it is that we are seeking.

My proposition is this:
Does the collective whole, the cosmos, the One, "I" have a predetermined path towards whatever the result of all of our work is?

I am a determinist as far as this world is concerned. I believe that evolution is, essentially, the meaning of the physical world. With this, I believe that our mental selves are evolving too. Back in the day, there was no way in the world that I would have made the connections I have. A basic example: Zen with Psychedelics? I never would have considered that.

So tell me what you think.

Do you think we are being guided by the whole of nothing?
