Red for action, Blue for stability. Don't you guys know your colour symbolism yet? smile.gif
How about yellow. What is it for? Wisdom? like in: I see what you mean. That turns on a light!
Hey! What about the symbolism of the secondary colours--green, orange, and purple?

Thanks! Interestingly, in the 1960's, before tape recorders were common--as part of the pneumatology lecture series which I gave--I made an LP recording. Over three thousand were distributed, before I started to use tapes.

As the basic patter of the meditation I used a discription of what I felt about the primary colours,
red, yellow and blue. The recording is about twenty minutes. I still have a copy or two in my files. Without having read anything about colour and psychology, what I said on the recording fitted the pattern of what I later found to be so. I guess the old idea is true: all the knowledge we need is already there; all we need to do is tune in.

It seems colour symbolism is part of the archetypes of consciousness. Probably due to fire and water being so fundamental to life.

FULL SPECTRUM LIGHT
===================
Interestingly, has anyone noticed that just below the skin of the earth there is red magma; below the skin of the body there is red blood; the sun is a golden yellow, and the sky is blue?

Thus we get the three primary colours. I addition, the yellow sun plus the blue sky gives us green grass. Depending on the time of day and how the sun interacts with the sky and water-filled clouds we get oranges, purples and mauves giving us the full spectrum of light.

The great physicist, the later David Bohm defined matter as frozen light.
